And the 'connect' bids are from 20 to 50 to get top notice. This is an unreal pace of bidding. Is this just a numbers thing? When in the past there were 100s of freelancers in my field and now there are 1000s, or tens of 1000s? It's hard to know what's going on here. I'm curious to know if there are active recruiters or job-agents that spend their whole work day matching jobs. It seems like this is the new bidding game. If so, it seems unfair. I'm guessing here, but I'm wondering if there are large studios that hire multiple full-time agents, and load them with 1000s of 'Connects' to get noticed. Is this the new normal? It seems unfair. How can single freelancers, or small teams compete with this type of large scale organization? I would like to hire a job hunter, recruiter or whatever agent, but I think this is against the Upwork terms of service. Any thoughts on this fellow Upworkers? I'd love to have some more insight into what's happening in the current Upwork job pitch scene. Thanks so much!
